Economic Development Advisor

Enterprise Dunedin is seeking an Economic Development Advisor to progress economic and social outcomes across Dunedin and Otago. Your priorities will be informed and take account of the Dunedin Economic Development Strategy, Enterprise Dunedin Business Plan and Otago Regional Economic Development framework

The role will also respond to economic opportunities and challenges as they arise. The intention is to develop and progress activities which can be progressed to ‘business as usual' before responding to the next priority. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with strong interpersonal skills who can engage with a wide range of stakeholders. Ideally you will:

• Have experience or an understanding of project planning, development and delivery gained in local and/or central government

• Have strong written communication skills

• Have knowledge and skills in an Iwi/Maori context and the application of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, Tikanga and Te Reo Maori

• Understand government decision making processes

• Have strong analytical skills, strategic and critical thinking

• Be confident in making decisions supported by research and evidence

Salary Range - 70,790 - 83,282
