The Dunedin City Council is the local authority for the wider Dunedin area, which covers 3340 square kilometers from north of Waikouaiti to the Taieri River in the South and inland to Hyde.
We provide a range of facilities, including playgrounds, reserves, pools, libraries, an art gallery and a museum. Our services range from registering dogs to urban design, collecting rubbish to funding community groups and plenty in between meaning no two days in HR are the same!
This position is a one-year fixed term parental leave cover, providing leadership to the HR Operations team which acts as the engine house of Human Resources. This role is critical to the successful delivery of core HR operations for the Council including project delivery, HR administration, talent acquisition, analytics and support to the wider HR team and organisation. Working within a new operating model, this is a great chance to help shape the future of how HR is delivered to the organisation and flex your leadership and problem solving skills with a view of continuous improvement across systems and processes.
