Case Manager - Housing Development
30 hours per week, fixed term until 30 June 2021
Increasing the quality and quantity of housing within the city is critical to meet Dunedin's predicted population growth, and the community's current and future economic and social wellbeing needs.
The Case Manager - Housing Development is a new "Navigator" role within the DCC; liaisng between people / groups wishing to develop sleeping accommodation that contribute to reducing the city's current and future housing shortage. The successful applicant work with internal staff and external stakeholders to ensure there is wide understanding of the role Council / central government have in assisting housing development. The role will support external stakeholders in navigating the Council processes for approvals, building and resource consents, licenses, etc. In the role you will help to link groups interested in working together to increase the city's current housing stock.
A minimum of three years' experience in the service delivery/customer service industry in or across Council departments such as Building, Planning, Transport, Water and Waste is essential. Experience working in the construction or planning sectors would also be valuable.
