Group Manager Transport
The Group Manager Transport is a key senior leadership role, responsible for providing leadership to the Council's Transportation department. With responsibility for a large operational budget and 40 staff, this role represents an exceptional opportunity to lead an outstanding team and help shape the future Dunedin's transportation network.
Reporting to the General Manager Infrastructure Services, you will be responsible for leading, motivating and building a high-performance culture for the Transport team. Your overall responsibility is to plan and deliver the Transport activity for Dunedin City and to deliver a number of significant high-profile capital projects.
This is a very attractive opportunity for an experienced leader or high-potential candidate that has successfully delivered high visibility projects and developed high performing teams. Candidates of interest will possess a tertiary qualification and have an ability to develop positive working relationships with the public, diverse stakeholder groups, and elected officials. A track record of fostering a constructive team culture and as well as a collaborative and values-based leadership style and a strong critical thinking ability are essential.
